chrome rim help

my chrome rims are very dull. I saw the post for polishing aluminum wheels but wasnt sure if the same steps could be used for chrome rims. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

i assume their chrome plated aluminum or steel. just use chrome polish....

I would use a dedicated chrome cleaner. There are many good ones, eagle one and mothers come to mind, they are of good quality and locally available. After you finsih polishing you might want to add a coat of sealant or wax. This will help to add protection to the rims and make it easier to clean them next time you wash your car.
