irratic idle

Have and 04TB LT 2WD. When I first start the motor (cold) it idles at 1200 to 1500 rpm for about 1 min before dropping to 700. Is this normal, even when it is hot outside?
Different problem, when warm I sometimes see it idling at 900 rpm. No pattern that I can see. It may stay there for 30 minutes or for a day. Eventually I will notice it is back down to 700. Any ideas?
