gsr diameter size?

howdy does anyone know the diameter size for a 95 gsr??? i wanna get customize piping with maybe just half an inch size bigger for more aggressive sound, yet not ricey. also, what do you think sounds cleaner: 2.5 piping or 3.0???anyone who has experience with this please tell me whats up. thanks

i would not suggest going with the 3 inch piping unless you have a turbo. that piping is too big and will not give you the backpressure that is needed on the exhaust valves. i would go with the 2.5 inch piping. and yea that will give you some nice gains and a nice sound. plus the main part of the sound comes from the muffler. like you can easily tell the difference between the autozone fart cans and an actual exhaust system from GReddy, Injen, or any other reputable company. like the exhaust i have is am upgrade from 2 inches to 2 1/4 and the tip is 3 inches. that is fine until i want to turbo it. then i'm going to go with a full 3 inch pipe all the way back.

I have stock 2.25" stainless mandrel bent exhaust and love it. :icon16:

so the stock muffler is 2.25 in diameter?? i'm looking in custom piping to 2.5 and getting 2.5 outlet muffler.did you feel any gain differences when u hooked it up?

No the stock pipe is not 2.25" and it is not stainless steel and it is not mandrel bent either. I have a USDM ITR catback which is all of the above. LOL:p
