Complete - AMT 1997 Corvette Coupe

AMT/Ertl Corvette kit - Tamiya TS-38 Gunmetal - XSTuning wheels - I know I forgot the mirrors - this kit sucked IMO - nothing fit properly and the roof was actually part of the windshield :eek7:

That's like, the exact color I painted mine! I didn't really like the way the roof was either, until I tinted the tops and gave it "glasstops." It's not the greatest kit, but it was less frustrating than the Revell Z06...that mighta just been me though, I didn't have as much trouble the second time around.

Nice job on this turd of an AMT kit. My friend broke two windshields trying to build the AMT C5 when it came out. It has to be the worst example from that era of a new kit being completly outclassed by Revell's similar kit. He ended up making a custom license plate "AMT CRAP". :icon16:

The roofline is wrong, the kit rims were awful and very undersized, many soft details, whereas Revell's Corvettes are very well executed and look correct. Just look at the two kits side-by-side before building and you'd have a hard time justifying purchasing the AMT kit.
