1993 Quad 4 Compression Pressure

I am in the process of changing the head gasket on my son's Grand Am with 126k miles. The engine says Quad4 on the aluminum housing on top (for spark plug connection) but the engine has two valves per cylinder, not 4. Did they make a "Quad 4" with a single overhead cam? Anyway, what I need to know is what the normal compression pressure for this engine should be. When originally diagnosing, two adjacent cylinders were found to be at 40 psi (head gasket blown between them) but the other two were up in the 185-190 psi range. Is this the normal pressure? I need to know as I am ready to reinstall the head, etc. and want to be sure there are no other hidden problems. The combustion chambers were in decent shape (no excessive carbon) and overall everything appeared ok other than the blown head gasket. Thank you very much for any input.

They made a single overhead cam and a double - both labeled Quad Four

When buying parts for my single cam motor I had to be sure to mention that the engine code for my motor was "3"

That compression does seem high - but maybe not being a zero clearance motor.

My Haynes manual only gives a minimum of 100 psi - the important thing is that they are all within 30 percent of each other.
