what kind of fuses do you guys reccommend the most? im probably going to need only about an 80 amp fuse for now (might upgrade to like 150 when i actually build a nice system) but i know that agu fuses kinda suck. also what do you guys think about circuit breakers? i heard once that they shouldnt ever be used for car audio but i want to know what you guys think. it seems like it would be nice to not have to worry about buying more fuses when you blow em.
also what are your opinions on maxi fuses? i haven seen many people use them so i dont know how good they are

I have ANL and MIDI, they're pretty much the same style, but MIDI is much smaller
never had a problem with either, ANL is expensive though because it's so huge

The reason circut breakers shouldnt be used to protect radio's, amps, etc is because they often take too long to brake the circut. Also, over time they have a higher contact resistance then when new. yes it is a convience to just flip a swich or let it cool down and the path is restored but fuses generally are more reliable and safer for your equiptment. the best fuses in my experence are ANL fuses. ive heard good things about Maxi fuses as well. and yes, AUG, or inline fuses, do lick the big one.

where can i find the cheapest midi/maxi/anl fuse holders and fuses online? or is there a store that you think would have them for cheaper than liek the outrageous like 30 bucks the local stereo shops charge?
