ok...the other day i turned my system on and there was no bass (i still have factory speakers)....when i got home i started messing with it and i noticed the little light on the amp that comes on when it has power wasnt on...i checked the fuses and the main fuse was solid but the end of it broke off....i replaced the fuse and everything was working fine...today i woke up and had the same problem...when i got home i checked the fuse again and it is fine but i did notice that the plastic fuse holder is a little melted but not too bad....i also checked the other 2 fuses on the amp itself and they were fine...i have no idea what the problem is...its like the amp isnt getting power and i know its not the battery because the car starts fine and all my electronics work (neons cd player/speakers ect.) any ideas??? :eek7: ...sorry for the length

could be the fuse again, even if it looks ok
since the one went out, there's a good chance that you got a bad batch and all of them will be bad. I'm guessing you have AGU (glass tube with metal condoms on each end)? If so I would recommend switching to something like a MIDI or ANL, they're much more reliable.

hm, well even if they're not from the same batch, there's a good chance it's the fuse again....I've had 3-4 AGUs just stop working on me for no reason in the last year alone. I've since switched to ANL for the main power wire fuse and MIDI (it's like a small ANL) for the distro block and never had a problem with either.
