When I turn the ignition, the dashboard lights come on but the jeep does not click or turn over. After 15-20 attempts at trying to turn the ignition it finally engages and the engine starts. Any thoughts???

I had a similar problem on my '92. It turned out to the neutral safety switch. Sometimes it would start, and then sometimes it would do what you are saying. I finally got tired of the situation and had it replaced.
