i know some cars have those stock, but i've never seen an aftermarket one. it's easy enough to just divide miles by gallons and get an average mpg.

Well there is a reason that you probably wont find many aftermarket ones...they need to be made specific for the injectors and the injector pattern of your car.

this is an article that may help you understand...I know they have been on some high-end German luxury cars, but my guess is that they are hooked to a vacuum line and are strictly 'guesses'...just like my factory boost gauge in my vr4.
I sincerely doubt you will find an aftermarket one...if you do, I would doubt even more that it's worth the plastic it's made out of, and even further, if you do manage to find a highly accurate aftermarket one that monitors your specific injectors...then I'm guessing it'll cost $$$

Why would you want top know what your milage is anyway's? as long as my gas gauge reads full, and i know where the next gas station im happy.
