Check Engine light

My 2000 Blazer check engine light is on. I went to Autozone and they put their diagnostic tool on it. The message said that I had a small vacuum leak. He said to check near the EGR system for a small loose hose.

2 questions:
Where the hell is the EGR?

And when I went to put gas in it the other day after I got it coded, the gas cap wasn't even screwed on. Could this be the vacuum leak and if so how do I turn the light off?

Thanks.

hmm.. Gas cap will cause the light to come on. If that is the problem I would think the light would have gone out. If not Disconnect the battery for a little while and hook it back up and see if the light is still on. Good Luck

The Loose gas cap will definitely cause a check engine light. You can disconnect the battery for 15 seconds, or go back to Autozone and have them clear the codes with their OBD II scanner that they used the first time you were there.
