Problem with left turn signal...

I have a 94 Firebird that has undergone a plethora of repairs over the last 6 months. Recently, the left turn signal stopped "blinking." The light will light up, and the right turn signal both lights up and blinks, but the left simply doesnt blink. I have to move it up and down manually. Any ideas/suggestions on what it could be or what I can do to fix it?

happens all the time to me.every time my lights quit blinking, its a warning that a bulb has flown south.if i open my hood and close it five times, one of the front blinker lights blow out.

Forgot to mention that every single bulb has been recently replaced...
Wait, like I said, the light will light up when I turn the markers on, or when I manually move the lever. It just wont blink.

usually its a bad bulb,or socket.double check it,and make sure they all work correctly.if its not that its the flash bulb.if thats not it its the wiring.

bad ground...I had the same problem on my 94. This thin has major issues when the ground goes bad. ABS warning light comes on, Cruise control stops working, flashers won't work, sockets burn up. I ran a wire from the ground side of one of the sockets, straight to the frame and voila...ABS light goes off, cruise works, turn signals flash, and turn signals work when I step on the brake (which I wasn't aware of, but everyone behind me was)

^^^^ :screwy:
Just change out the bulb and take a look at your connector. as long as the connector(where the bulb sets into) looks good, its just a blown bulb. The bulbs have mulitple filliments(sp?) and that one for the turn signal blew out or broke.

Thanks for all of the responses, like I said before, the bulbs have all been swapped, so thats certainly not it. Ill have to look into that ground problem, because I have all of those other symptoms (ABS light, cruise not working).

I had the same problem. What worked for me was that I positioned the turning signal towards the blinkers that were not working and wiggled the wires gently that go into the socket.I dont know if you have tried that already but if not it is worth a shot.good luck and peace out.

I had the same problem in my '95 which required a new socket. Around $50 and three wire splices later the problem is fixed! GL!

I had the same problem -- and soon it spread to my right turn signal -- but with a more dire problem; the combo switch in the lever went bad. it was a bitch to get fixed...about $200 for parts and labor.
