Sounds like one of your headlight motors are getting ready to go out. You may need to replace the bushings inside it or get a refurbed motor. Had the same problem, and both motors were shot a month later. Not at all hard to replace these, you just need about 2 hours and a bit of patience.

lol, she thanks you for the compliment. :iceslolan

Got the hood on Ebay, cost me $800 with shipping and the ram air kit.

Honestly? Yes, to me at least. It gives the front end a much more aggresive personality than it would have had stock...oh, and i guess that I am enjoying the 20 extra horse the ram air kit gave me :evillol:

Looks like a gorilla snout (not trashin) It looks tuff. I saw one on ebay thay want $400 for a fake one. no ram air and no 20 extra horses. $400
seams like a lot of money just for looks.

remember you have to add shipping to that $400 and also need to lookout for the cheap hoods...the paper thin ones

I don't think i would do it just for looks anyway. If you're going to spend that kind of money, might as well do it right and gain the effect too.

Do they make a ram air system that will hook up to my edelbrock carb

Probably not, I assumed that you had TPI if you were looking at that hood. In that case, you are just after the look then I take it? If that is the case, then the money is well spent if makes your car look better to you. Without the Ram Air setup, it is about $200 less anyway.

But a CAI will give the the same hp increase if not slightly more than a Ram Air Intake will.....proven fact.....so the ram air in my opinion would be a cosmetic change which usualy does add a lot of character to the car

Im new at this. This is my first firebbird (or for that mater a car that has any kind of balls). I bought it for $1000 from some guy off the side of the road. He told me it had a 350 with 305 heads I found out a week ago it just has a 305.(shows how much I know) I feels pretty quick to me. The mechanic that did my inspection said it runs strong and that he was suprised that it did. I have put a Edelbrock performer intake and a edelbrock performer 600 carb. Got them both used for $170. I plan on doing an engine swap later down the line, but for now I'm just having fun.

The 305 has surprising power and they are quick with the right set-up. My '87 TPI Trans-Am I had a few years back was quick as hell. If you want to drag race it or something, then the 350 seems to be the way to go, but if your just going to cruise around town and want to gas it every once in a while (every third traffic light) or not be afraid to pull out in front of traffic, then the 305 is a great motor.

How long does it fall behind the passenger side? If it isn't very long, I wouldn't really begin to worry about it. If you've ever looked, they are usually never perfectly sync, so if it hesitates only a little bit, I wouldn't worry, and ill add one more comma, and make this a very long run on sentence!!

My driver's side headlight has been a little slower than the passenger side for as long as I can remember driving the car.

Its a lot slower. It was hit on that side but its not rubing on any thing. I was wondering if there was a way to ajust them. now that I think about it, it takes 2 times as long to come up than the other one. I'm pretty shure that it needs to be replaced. Can you tell me what a CAI is.

Yea if its taking that long, I would say its due for a replacement. CAI is a cold air intake. Ever see those K&N intake kits? CAI's help lower the temperature of incoming air going into the engine. This allows for more flow of air into the intake manifold due to colder air being more dense than warmer air, which in turn, can create more hp.
