Short Shifter????

Whats the deal with the 02 g's
I was told that they are cable clutches and not the same as the 01
I was asking about an upgraded bushing and a short shifter, but I was told thatt it wouldnt work out or fit???
Any help??? can I get an upgraded bushing to tighten up my shiter to go along wit the short shifter???
An education would be a world of HELP guys?
