VW drifting

Here is some videos of a 1302 Super Bettle drifting. These came with IRS and front MacPherson struts. So it is basically the same sort of suspension a newer drift car has. But a much shorter wheel-base.

yes, that is defanitly different, lol, rear engine RWD 2 cyl ....lol

The swing axel beetle (pre '69) are even more tail happy, but would be pretty difficult to control that well.

VW's are actually 4 cylinder. I have a 66(swing axle) and a 69(IRS). Both are pretty easy to drift.

Ever yold VW Beetle ive ever sen was a 2 cyl. 'tis why many people hwo like to mod them (poor souls) swich out for a 5 speed and Harley V-Twin.

oh, and some use Porsche Boxer engines as well.

No offense, but what ever you heard is wrong buddy. Go over to the beetle forum and tell the what you told me and prepare for a severe flaming.

Not to mention that a 1600cc is an awfully big 2 cylinder. Every engine for the 49-79 beetle is a flat 4, all of them. Unless someone has changed it to something else.
