does anyone here have an optima battery in their car instead of a regular battery? is it worth the money to get one, cuzz my car battery keeps on dying over night i have to jump start it to get my car running. just wanna know how does optima battery compare to a regular battery. even if i do get one, would it be best to get the RED-top or YELLOW-top ones, since i know the yellow top is for car with aftermaket stereo system. i mean is it practical to get a yellow top over a red top when all i need is just to start my car, and not to listen to music when the car is not running?
One more thing, how do u push start a car when the battery dies, of course i have a 5-speed not an automatic. thanks in advance.

ok, if u dont have alot of aftermarket electronics, just buy a regular battery. If it keeps dying on u, u may have a short somewhere. and to push start a car, all u do is push the clutch in, i usually put it in 2nd gear, have a friend push it until u get moving pretty fast and drop the clutch, the car may buck quite a bit, just tap the gas and it should fire up.

Also, when you're push starting it, make sure the car is turned on... I was getting my friends to push my car one time and forgot to turn the key to ON. We were wondering why it wasn't working... then I was like "OOOOHHHHH... now I see why!" :D

first of all if it is a good battery you have an electrical problem... a better battery may give you more than one night but it will still die. If your battery is old and bad all you need is a new battery not a top of the line battery. if your battery is dieing overnight and it is a good battery then it has a draw/short somewhere.
Second of all you should only pop start your car in a high gear, I recomend 4th. 2nd it will buck too much and possibly cause damage to the drivetrain.

i have a yellow top and love it ive left my lights on over night came out the next morniing and started the first time i have a yellow top cuz of my n2o bottle warmer is 240watts and drains the hell out of a regular battery. red tops are great for racing gives a better spark. red tops are more affordable but both have great (life time i think) warrenties so replacement is free
