oil pressure

when I drive my 90 lumina 3.1l I notice that my oil pressure gage bounces around while I'm stopped but as soon as I step on the gas it jumps and is constant at mid to high pressure. Is this a normal thing or could it be a sensor going bad or is there an actual problem?

Normal, or at least I hope so, my last 3 cars have done that.
