2004 f150 advice needed plz help

In late February of 2004 i purchased a 2004 f150 stx short wheelbase 4x4. It has 4.6 liter v-8 and an automatic transmission. I have put 14,000 miles on the vehicle to date it is currently settin in the service department of my dealship with the transmission out of it. Since purchasing the vehicle i have encountered many serious problems. The front pinion seal of the rearend went out and the rearend was making a loud whining sound. The dealerships said the pitch of the rear end was off. I have been around vehicle all my life and worked on them too and I have never heard anything about the pitch of a rearend. The vehicle also puffs black smoke and sputters on cold starts and take off it has been to the dealership 3 times concernin this and still no solution. It also aquired a large crack in the windshield after settin under the carport for 2 days the dealership said it was a stress related crack. Currently the transmission is out of the truck overdrive was completely out and drive was slippin to bad to drive it. I receive a call saying that the transmission, front differential, and transfer case on the truck were full of water and that my warranty would not cover replacement of the part because of exposure to water. The truck has never been off road the only water exposed to was water standing in the road after a rainy week around in my area and that water was not over 8 inches deep. How does water get into a vehicle like that and should ford cover repairs and what in the world is rearend pitch. Plz Help me!!!!!!!!! What would you doo.

I asked my lawyer about that he said that if i quit payin i would have to pay for the transmission to be replaced and the dealership would put it back on the lot and sell it. If it didnt bring the amount owed on the vehicle the would get a court order and garnish my paycheck until the vehicle was payed off.

Ask them if they can say "LEMON LAW".

In MN, Ford would own it already, based on what you have posted.

You might want to contact another lawyer because it sounds to me like the seals in the transfer case and the transmission might have been bad to start with if you have no had the truck submerged in water for an extended amount of time.The pitch of the rear end sound like it would have to do with the alignment of the rear axle to the transmission.If they where not in line with each other it could cause damage and wear.

Hey, there was, for the 2003 model year, a technical bulletin regarding problems with the rear diff. The problem you got, does it sound like a whirring hum under accel? If that is the case, I am currently looking forward to the possible fourth, count 'em, fourth rear end from the same stupid problem. Contact ford rep through the dealer, but make sure you contact a FORD rep, not a dealer rep. I don't quite know if this is the same for 2004 as mine is a 2003, but mine was covered under warantee. I was a transmission tech for Ford I changed alot of them, I would ask them to see each sample. I ran across alot of them with plugged vents from the factory. Metal is pourous and when the run and heat up condensation is drawn in. If water is present ask them how the water got in there. for water to get into everyplace there must be water in your engine too. check to see if their is. If there is it will appear to be like a "milky" color. There transmissions are junk and the dont want to pay for all of them to be fixed. I currently own another F-150 and of course when I had to change the transmission the one I put in I bouhgt the lifetime warranty with it. That was Two transmissions ago, I'm glad that I knew a bit about thier transmissions. Good luck......
