first car

Hey jut turned 16 in sept and just bought my first car a 2000 alero gls loaded and everything now i'm looking for some preformance out of this car it isn't bad on speed but i need a dual exausht for my kit does anyone know where i may get one

Congrats on your purchase. How many miles do you have on her? Is it a V6 or I4? Two or four door? Color?

Anyway, you could try pfyc.com or aleromod.com. I think the very popular dual exhaust for the Aleros that were made by Borla have been discontinued. These sites may have others available however.

I'm 18 and have a 2002 Alero GL1 V6 four door with about 41K on it now. She's treated me pretty well except for mainly trim issues that were covered under warranty. It was/is my second car I've owned. The only thing performance wise that I have done to it was add a strut tower brace up front which I purchased from pfyc.com. It helped the handling of the car emensely. I'm really not a fan of doing any mechanical or engine mods. If you do add the strut tower braces, I would recommend purchasing both the front and the rear at the same time because they offer you a huge discount if you do (I couldn't do this because even with the discount, I couldn't afford to spring for the rear).

Wow...great miles on her...these days you can't find low mileage cars unless they're nearly new. For an almost five year old car, that's really good. The black is also REALLY nice on the Alero's. Hope she treats you well!

i think its nice and all i haven't got it jsut yet an i can't give u a pic right now just because the car isn't exactly in my hands. I'm hoping to maybe buy a bodykit and maybe some preformance modifications i have about a housand dollars in the bank to put into the car. Congrats on your purchase. Borla made a Alero exhaust but it has been discontinued. I checked a couple of days ago and PFYC.com has 1 left for like $574 or something close to that. I have an SLP exhaust on mine and I absolutly love it. You should check into them. It's not a true dual exhaust but true duals would be overkill on the 3.4. Cold air intakes are also a popular mod. I recommend doctorspeed.com for that. And remember that the 99-04 Grand Am's are practically the same car so alot of the parts are interchangable.

I would not get duel duels for that at all. there is no room for them. all that is, is a crossover from the left muffler and you WILL lose hp. magnaflow is what i have on my car it its great. ohh yeah, i have a 99 olds alero 3.4L will 8mm plug wires. if you wanted to know, it will top out at 106mph. FYI!

I thought these topped out at 108. I always get mine ot 108 driving from Ft. Collins to Denver... :-)

Careful going that fast on I25, those HP's have nothing else to do out there in no mans land. All this time my wife has had her 99 Alero and I never knew it had a speed limiter. The way she drives, I bet she knows...

Oh I know...HP here sucks...they're absolutely ruthless too...

2002 Alero GL2 3.4 V6 (40K, Silver, Yokohama Avid/V4 P225/50R16 tires, Monroe Reflex Struts, ASE Re-programmed ECU/PCM, Granatelli HP MAF, Hi-Flow CAT, K&N Air Filter)

Yokohama as430 130 per tire. 2 ince stablizerbar. tops out at noe 140. it has the germen cpu in it so it can go in the autobond. 8mm wires. fun toy

P225/50R16 i forgot. intake does not do to much. 8hp gain? not worth it.
