Tailgate lens covers

Hey ya'll,
this is my first post on this site. I just got a 2004 Silverado Z71 last night. The truck came equipped with some sort of "Realtree Hardwood" trim on it that I just really can't stand. So my first question is this, does anyone know how to remove it? I read the threads on the body moulding and I can remove that with a blowdryer or heat gun, my question is the covers that seem to be taped/glued over the taillight lenses. Will the heat gun work on those as well? I don't want to melt the plastic lenses or scratch them trying to rub the glue/tape off after I get the covers off. Also, for anyone esle that has this trim package, do you know if the front bumper plastic trim piece is actually a cover with the old trim underneath, or did they remove the old trim and replace it with the "realtree" trim. Reason I ask, I don't want to remove the front bumper trim piece and find nothing underneath and have a weird looking front bumper. The hard part will be inside the truck, the Dash panel is the "realtree" trim as well so I know I will have to buy a new dash piece and possible replace the center console that is covered with the crap as well. The "realtree" trim is also on the corner of the front windows on the inside of the truck, anyone know if this is a cover or the actual piece replaced. Once I get all that crap removed if anyone is interested in buying it I probably will be getting rid of it. FYI, The "realtree" trim is kind of like camouflage but it actually looks like leaves and trees and stuff.
Thanks
