timing chain

I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler with 114K miles on it and 4.0 L engine. Has anyone ever changed/ or had problems with a timing chain on a similiar vehicle? I'm just trying to find out if it's necessary for preventative reasons or if it's ok not to mess with it until there are problems.

Thanks!

I really dont' think it would need it at this point unless it is making a lot of noise rattling around. You can test it buy watching with a timing light at idle and see if the timing is all over the place and changing all the time.
