I have a 1990 jeep cherokee with 4.0 automatic. I recently had a fuel line break and since I fixed it, it won't idle less than 2 grand. I disconected the vacumn line on the map sensor and it now idles at a nice 700 rpm [with a slight miss due to the vacumn leak] I had the tps replaced about 10,000 miles ago. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix my jeep?

have you checked the idle air control valve a.k.a IAC?

looked in Haynes manual and could find no reference to an idle air control valve but did run across the throttle valve linkage adjustment in the transmision section and that appears to have corrected the prob lem
thanks for your response
