97 malibu keyless entry

I have a keyless remote from a 94 pontiac grand prix, can it be programmed to work on a 97 malibu?, can you use any GM remote and make it work? and if so what is the procedure to do so hope someone can help, Thanks.

No, it's not the correct remote and will not program
