blower motor and painting

first off my blower motor fuse keeps popping when i put one in...i changed the rersistor for it and that didnt help... any ideas???

also i am planning on painting my car its a 84 z28 and its red...u guys think i should keep it red or change the color?......i'll try to get pics up soon
