What kind of Tranny is the best for my 1989 Iroc Z28.. Its an automantic.... I need to know what kind is the best.. give me good prices, quailty, and sites so I can look at it.. Please? Thanks I'll put my picture up as soon as possible..

You can get your stock 700r4 built up to handle quite a bit of power, you should look into that.

yeah i have a 700r4 from a 88 iroc in my 68...and its workin great so far.

you can, like a t-56, but it'll prolly be cheaper to build the 700 up.

No need for a better one. Just dropped the tranny , take it into a tranny shop yourself or if you don't want the car down and out for transportation and what not , pick up one from a junk yard and have them build it up. Gears , cervo , shift kit , deep pan with magnetic pick up , kevlar bands , etc.

You can get a tranny from a yard for about 100 - 150 , Buy the parts yourself and possibly save some money , maybe 300 bucks. then have them do the labor. No sweat , 100 - 200. so probably right around the 500-600 dollar range either way.
