dash lights

Hi,
I'm new, don't hold that against me, and I have a '91 240SX that is having problems with the insturment panel light, and digital speedo turing on and off kinda whenever it wants to. And it when I turn on my headlights it will pop the headlights up but won't put them down unless I lower them manualy. how hard is it to tear apart the dash to get to the instument panel lights? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure about the speedo thing.. check from the trannie first, i don't know where the wiring is, but somebody does, we've talked about it before.. but for the headlights, it probably isn't the actual headlight motor.. it could be the actuator or whatever it is.. located right behind your ecu on the passenger's side (assuming you have a usdm 240).. its a bitch to get at cause you have to take the ecu out and they're fragile if they've never been touched.. when i was looking at mine to try to put the pivot controller in, the wires were stiff as shit.. and when i put the ecu back in and turned the car on, my rpms didn't work anymore and my hicas light came on.. its tricky.. unless you know your shit, take it to a mechanic who knows nissan, or better yet to the dealership.. its gonna be expensive at the dealership but they'll get it done
