im looking to get a vr-4 in the spring but i dont know what year to get. is there any year that is better than others taking in the fact that im prb not going to spend more than $8000. also i was reading about the 4 wheel steering and was wondering if that feels weird at first or if u can even tell.

The all wheel steering is only very slight so you won't likely notice it. I don't think you can get anything but a first gen VR4 for 8k.

the AWS (all wheel steering) doesn't come into play until speeds higher than 40 mph. when you turn the back tires will turn a maximum of 1.5 degrees towards the direction you are turning. It's unnoticable to me.

I agree, the AWS is not noticeable. For that money, if you're leaving the exterior stock, a 1st gen is great. You will be happy with the looks, and believe me, my gf thinks it's annoying how many looks we get, but I think it's fun. People notice these cars (mine is a '93). Once you get used to them, they are extremely fun cars to drive. Any more q's, just ask.

I suggest you read the FAQ...it was written to deal with the questions of new/potential owners
