parking lights problem

I installed a remote start/alarm on my 04 silverado. Everything works fine except the parking lights don't flash. Everywhere I've looked it says to use a gray/black wire behind the light harness, or at the BCM at the BCM there's 3 gray/black, and at the light harness there is 2. I've only tried at the green light harness. This is what happens... When these two wires touch the parking lights come on and stay on. I tried both seperately, and both together diode isolated. didn't work...
Parking Lights: Gray/Black (-) Green Connector at the headlight switch
Anyone have flashing parking lights with their alarm and where are your connections? Also, should I have the output the parking lights be a positive or negative output?? Thank you... :dunno: :banghead:

Well i am by far no expert on this but my brother used to install alarms/stereo's ect and if i remember correctly to have the lights flash or just to be on you need relays ,I did not see anything in your post about relays <shrugs>

PLEASE VERIFY THINGS WITH A VOLTMETER. These BCMs are very fragile and usually screw up when trying to mess with them.
Anyway, not sure where you got your info. Some of it is correct. This is what you can do....
Parking Lights+ brown + driver kick panel
Parking Lights- gray/black - BCM, brown plug, pin B2
Notes: The BCM (Body Control Module) is under the driver side dash. It has 6 plugs in it, the purple plug is on the back.
You can use either wire but make sure what polarity your RS is on the output. Some are only - but some can go + or -. Others only will work with relays.

I connected this wire directly to a brown wire at the headlamp itself to no avail... I hope the brown wire at the kick panel isn't the same one... My RS can be switched to either + or - polarity... What polarity do I use for either wire? I'll try these and get back to you. Thank you for your help.

I never use the brown+ wire. I always use the one in the purple plug.
