I had to replace my remote. Bought one from eBay. Anyone know how to program an Aftermarket Code Alarm Remote Engine Starter/Lock?

CODE ALARM REMOTE GOH-FOUR is the hand held remote

These instructions are for programming a CODE ALARM GOH-FOUR remote.

1. Enter your vehicle and make sure all the doors are closed.

2. Press the brake pedal and hold it down.

3. Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to ACC ON position and back to off three times.

4. Remove your key from the ignition and then release the brake pedal.

5. If done correctly you will hear three beeps from the CODE ALARM reciever box located beneath your dash. (If you did not hear the 3 beeps then repeat steps 1-4 until you hear it)

6. Press the LOCK button one time and release it. You will hear the CODE ALARM reciever box beneath the dash beep once indicating that this button is now programmed.

7. Press the TRUNK button one time and release it. This will tell the CODE ALARM reciever box that you are using a 4 button remote. Once again you will hear one beep.

8. Press the UNLOCK button one time and release it. Once again you will hear one beep.

9. Press the START button one time and release it. Once again you will hear one beep.

10. Now press and release the brake pedal one time to complete the programming cycle.

Your CODE ALARM GOH-FOUR remote is now programmed.

I was just wandering, I got a 1997 GC and it doesn't have an alarm system in it that I know of... would it be passable to go to a wrecking yard and get the parts I need to add a stock alarm with remote start??? or is this way to much work... I would rather go with a stock system but if its to much of a pain would it be better to go with an after market system??
