Idle drops and dies

This mornig i drove my car a little hard, and all of a sudden i hear a loud pop from the exaust (like a back fire). After that i pull up at a stop sign and the car died! After reaching my school i reaved the car to see if anything was wrong. After reaving it, the idle just dropped and didnt stop where it should, and the car died. Every time i reave it now the car will die. But if i dont reave it, the car would idle just fine. So do any of you know the problem?

after reving and then letting off the gas my RPMs drop to about 400 then stabilize at 750.....i would clean out my TB and adjust the idle and play around with the BISS.....

Is it possible that you blew off one of your hoses (vacuum/intake)?? Just a guess.

check your ignition. i had that problem when my plugs when bad. wasn't firing correctly and dispensing unburnt fuel dies at the lights.

then again, it is one of those common idle freaking annoying problem that DSM has. search around the forum, it's been discussed.
