Hi,
I have a 98 corolla and by all means has been a great car. Off late, I am experiencing kind of jumpy front wheel drive with my steering wheel wobbling as well at speeds 50mph or above. I have fairly new tires (20k) on them. This wobble sensation gets enhanced when I apply brakes. I have gotten wheel balanced twice, back brakes changed with enough life on front brakes (as told by my mechanic). Can anyone suggest what needs to be done?
Thanks in advance

I too have a 98 Corolla with the same issues. You may want to check the condition of the cv axel. i checked mine and it is fine, but a bad cv axel would cause this wobble. Also, struts may be to blame as well. Have a mechanic look at your struts. They may be worn. I think that may be one of my problems.

Have you considered having your rotors inspected/ replaced. They may be warped. I had this happen with my old car (91 Taurus) and putting in a new set cleared up the problem right away. HTH

Honestly I had the same problem for the longest time when I fiurst got my corolla, it would be fine till about 50MPH then would gaet all wobbly and the sterring wheel would vibrate but it would calm down at like 80MPH really weird, found out that the front tires were shitty CLUB tires, got them replaced and its fine now, try that if other things havent worked.
