4G63 Engine

I was told that my 2.0L 4G63 engine from a 95 Talon could put out over 500 HP if built right. Is that true? Also people say that the 1g engines are better than the 2g engines, why is that?

The 4G63 has made over 500hp on stock internals, for the record. There are built motors with 600-800+ hp, so yes. 1g is slightly better, it's in the rods, intake manifold.. not sure what else.
