Heater problems

I just bought a 2001 Stratus SE, and I am having trouble with my heating system. It is now getting cold, and I have to let my car warm up. I let my car run for a while, but there is no heat. There is only cold air that comes out. My, heater only works when it is turned on a high setting. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Also, any other information about my car would be helpful.

Quite often the blower motor resistor burns out only giving you the high speed fan position, as far as your cabin heat is the car warming up?
