I unplugged my TCC in an '86 Cenntury and it was on the front side of the transmission housing just to the right of the engine-transmission join. If I remember correctly it was a squarish-shaped plug. If yours is the same as mine was you are probably experiencing erratic lockup action. That was a cheap fix and the mileage really didn't change much.

I'm having a problem locating the TCC plug on my '90 Century with the 3.3. Is it behind the trans cover? Where can I disconnect it? The car runs fine unti I try to stop, then it stumbles & dies. After a few minutes it starts right up adn drives fine. I pulled the code for it and it indicates the TCC. This is the only running car I have and I am currently unemployed. Any ideas???

Reread bignoisey's reply; and unplug it. Did this on one car and it's still running 60000 miles later. Plug should be obvious , transaxle,top/front side.
