electrical probs galore.

For a long time now I have had weird noises from my my door locks, pass side window wont roll doen or up and my doors lock up on me all the time.

Recently the car make a small wining sound, but is constant and gets louder the faster I go. Now something is draining my battery so I have to get a jump everytime I shut my car off.

Any ideas on where to start

If your belt is not turning that will cause a bunch of problems. It may have broken. Look at the belt closely, and check for tension on the belt. Also, check the belt tensioner for movement. They can freeze. While your at it, there is a seperate belt for the alternator toward the back of the engine. This has to be tightened manually. It is possible that that belt is also worn causing your engine to run off the battery instead of the alternator. If they have a lot of miles on the, you may want to replace them anyway. Let us know what you find.

I just replaced the power steering pump on my car in October. The pump basically disinigrated in my hand. What made me check was that I was driving home from work one night on the highway when I heard something snap and my battery light came on. I pulled into my mothers driveway (she lives between my office and my home). and that's where the car stayed. The power steering belt broke and flew off.

But, it also grabbed my alternator belt (serpentine) on the way out and yanked that too causing the battery light to come on.

After having the pump replaced I did not have a problem until last weekend during the snow when the belts flew off again. Gee, I wish I had known it was the belts before I bought a new $75 batter and put an order in for a $208 alternator. Silly me, after I got it fixed, I didn't expect it to happen again, at least not so soon.

Good luck, take Joes advice, he's hit the nail on the head!
