Idle Recovery

I have just purchased a '92 1.0l. I have replaced the generator, plugs & wires, and timing belt. I have set the timing and the idle, but when I put a load on it(headlights, radio, brakelights, etc). It doesn't want to idle back up. Any suggestions on what I should check next?
