which car would be faster? a stock RSX type S or a civic hatchback with a Type R engine swap?

anyone could figure this one out, both the type S motor and type R motor have the same hp rating. I'm pretty sure the civic is lighter then a RSC so definetly the Civic would be faster.

If you couldn't figure that out, you shouldn't be getting a hatch with a type r.

this is really sad, but folks the RSX actually weighs less than the civic SI hatch(curb weight, not unloaded weight(2,767lbs VS 2782lbs respectivily))

The 92 - 95 models weigh less than that. My Civic is a 4-door and weighs 2319lbs stock. The b-series motor adds 100lbs. The SI hatch gutted with a b16 weighs just over 2148lbs. My friends and I corner weighted one about 3 months ago. I don't pay attention to the ek chassis, I like the eg the best. I believe you might be close to right about the ek and the rsx but my friend did a type r swap into an ek hatch and the guy ran low 14's with stock everything, even exhaust and intake, suspension, wheels and tires, everything stock. So it would still be faster than an RSX type S.
