The air suspension on my 98 Eddie Bauer Expedition has completely stopped working. The message center never indicated that there was anything wrong. Is it still safe to drive my SUV until I can get it fixed?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Randall,
You might have a problem with ride control, handling and lack of shock dampening on the front of the car. The rear utilizes a conventional shock system along with the rear air bags. So the rear will be OK for now, but it will not pump up the rear bags if the system is inoperative.
The front shock system is air only and will deflate down to bottom eventually.
I replaced both front shocks by myself and it cost $130.00 per side with dealer shocks. Some parts houses carry the replacment shock if you need them.
