I have great power untill I reach half of a tank of gas or less. Then I start no power. As the tank gets more empty the power decreases. We have changed plugs, wires, filters with no luck.
Any Ideas

Sounds like a bad fuel pump, for sure. Have a fuel pressure test done with tank 1/4 full. For fun try turning on headlights, fan & other accessories and test pressure THEN! Good luck.

I'm guessing you have a 99-00 with the returnless fuel system(be more specific). The fuel pumps in these cars have an almost 100% failure rate. There is a round mesh filter on the bottom of the pump housing that gets clogged, which causes the pump to burn up over time. Having hesitation with a low tank is a good sign that it is the pump. Spmotorsports.com sells the replacement pump(minus the housing) for under $100, or you can go with the higher flowing SVT Focus pump for the same price. The FSVT pump will drop in with very little modification. When I replaced my pump, I didn't use the Focus unit, so I'm not quite sure of the specifics. Theres plenty of info about it on contour.org if you want to check it out. Either way, make sure you leave the disc filter off.

I was wanting to know if anyone could help me out here. I have a 97 contour gl and the front driver side caliper is grinding against the rotor. and the outside of the caliper is grinding on the inside of the stock rim. the hub itself feels loose. can some body help me out. I think it may be the bearing. any help would be great.
