I just replaced my front 1/2 shafts tie roddd ends, pads, rotors etc, After about 600 miles i am now getting a metal on metal rotating grinding noise which seems to be coming from the tranny. I also have noticed some tranny fluid underneath the vehicle coming from the area where the axle meets the tranny. This is a 2000 Gt model. I was wondering if my seals may have just went bad or am i looking at a serious tranny rebuild. The car has been parked since this started. ANy info or advice would be greatly appreciatedd.

Did you change the seals when you changed the shafts? If you didn't you probably have one going bad and that is allowing the fluid to leak out. The sound you hear may be the metal inside the seal grating on the shaft where it connects inside the transmission. I would also check the new pads to make sure they are fitting properly in the calipers and that the rotors are not rubbing something. I would replace the seals no matter what since the leak will probably get worse. Also, make sure you tightened the axle nuts to the proper torque this could cause a problem too.
