Need an answer!!!???

I am going to upgrade my sound system and I want to get a dvd player and an in dash moniter. I am going to order one off of ebay for about
150$ for the moniter and 150$ for the dvd player. Is there anything specific i need to know about camaros and dvd players like what size will fit?

not sure about DVD players or anything of that sort.. but im working on a custom enclosure for 4 12" subs in the back hatch.. and i was wondering if anyone on the forum has done that and has pictures of what it looks like so i have something to work off..

I mounted a 7" screen , 250.00 at wal mart right under my vents mid dash with my volfenhag equalizer =D onlything I use it for is my PSone. No biggy , You could but a 17" if you wanted to and had the money it's all really what you want and how much space you want to compromise.

A friend of mine put 2 12" in the back of his 95 Z28 and he had to have the rear glass raised and inch and a half because of the risk of shattering the glass with the power output. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

aright i am prolly gunna get a 7" screen but when i want to get 2 12 inch subs do i need to get a special kind of dvd player with sub outputs or whatever there called or will any cd player/dvd player work with subs

You don't need anything special for output , just run your dvd player output into a equalizer and 4ins / 4 outs - run two to the stock ( or whatever ) speaker spots and two to the rear ( Amp/subs. ) You don't need anything all that special for it.

Aright but i want to get the dvd player seperate from the moniter so its cheaper and i want it all in the dash does anyone know if that all will fit?

Are you getting a front load dvd player ? if so , Just buy one of the decks with DVD capabilities. or get one that has front load and mount it before mounting the screen. YOu have about 18's from the dash to work with before you start cloggin yourself or passanger.

You can put 4 12 in it.. I'll show ya as soon I get the picture.. its simple.. you put 2 amps on the side of the hatch and drill a hole, seperate 3 in the edge and put one in the middle.. works good but you won't have the window left over though lol

Why do you need four 12's in a camaro ? I use one RF Punch 12" and 400 watt amp and it pounds just as hard as most these kats running around with 2 12's in their trunks in 'custom' boxes or whatever.

well we got speical stereos in here.. it came out 2 12 in 1 box.. and the other in other box.. so we mixed it up in 4.. came out that way.. but it fit perfectly .. ull see what i meant as soon i put my pix up.. im having hard time trying to put it up.

I don't understand. I like how I can bump to keep up with the beats of today and what not but four subs and amps just seem like a lot to replace when some one breaks in and jacks your shit. One is much more financially managable.

yep and for the hatch window it is secured alarm by laser.. it will alarm by human heats.. when the laser catch human heats it alarm like a fire truck sirens...

Jesus people it's a car not home. I can understand the DVD player thing but four subs?? Spend the money on some High quality subs (Boston acutics, etc) and just run two. Think of it this way, if you go from one sub to two subs, it does not double your decibles.

It's a 12v 60 amp (or so) eletrical system, it's not made for that much stuff.

I think it's funny how some people can worry about not having a spare tire because of the weight but, put crap like that in a car that is trying to go fast. Don't get me wrong, I have a system in my GN but man, what is the need for four subs? Spend the money on a complete system (as in don't spend 4k on subs and keep the stock 6x9's and dash speakers.)

i just had em laying around.. so i decided.. what the hell.. but there is no way i am going to do it now because its gonna be too much of a pain in the ass.. i live right by the ghetto.. here it isnt so much about how fast your car is.. its how far away you can hear it coming.. but come next spring i wont care about a system.. if i was spending money on this stuff.. it definately wouldnt be happening.. im savin for a TA remember?

i have a 1000/600rms watt kicker amp,and two 12's.You know it bumps when you berp.If you need more sound then that,get you a nissan pickup with a camper shell,and start throwing 15's at it.

I'll second the though on 4 subs in a Camaro. Hell, I had one 12" CompX being ran off of one 1500d in my Formula. At first I had real problem having the hatch pop itself when I had it slamming. Then, once I fixed that the back window had to be replaced. It was a sweat system. You had to breathe with the beat of the music it hit that hard and clean.

we get that too.. if i have the windows up and the system hitting hard i cant breathe.. its awesome.. lol

im selling my car and looking to buy a newer 4th gen v8 preferrably (94-97), im looking at a 94 TA right now.. either way it has to have T-tops and a v8.. preferring the LT1, but would sacrifice the body style for an LS1 if the price was right..
