...get a new BOV....most popular is the greddy s-type Blow off valve....
...but thats the phhhhsss sound that the bov makes....
...the spooling sound is the turbo...to make that louder you need a bigger turbo..
but before you run down to harry's auto parts where all turbos are half off..(lol)..
there is more upgrading to be done to your exsisting setup...im guessing your car is stock...
things to be upgraded are...:
-all IC pipes replaced with harder ones
-boost controler
-boost gauge
-some kind of high flow intake
-turbo-back exhaust is recomended
-BOV that can hold more psi than stock
-its good to upgrade the fuel system(depends on how big you go...any thing that a 16g or bigger need a better fuel supply)
-Intercooler helps
-piggy back furl computer is recomended
after all that you should be set for an 16G ,evo III, heck even a big T-28 depend on the extent of fuel system upgrades....
yes a 14b turbo can be bolted on with out any of the mods above...but if its sound your after .... the t-25 and the 14b sound almost the same.... you will start to notice sound differences when you get as big as a 16G....

I know the spooling doesn't come from my BOV, im just saying I want a louder spooling sound rather than a louder BOV. Would the intake piping make a diff?

and thanks 97_3 i will probably try upgrading my pipes first and get my hands on a bigger turbo :D

Beside the fact that I don't recommend people modify their car to make sounds, metal upper intercooler piping, metal intake pipe, and nice air filter such as a K&N will make the turbo louder. The metal just bounces the sound better out of the pipes. Stock plastic doesn't.

A 20 dollar ABS website like the one I show how to make on my website made the turbo much louder. That was on a 14b. 16g will sound the same, its hardly any bigger. When you get into 3" inlet turbos you see a nice jump in sound. People tend to not realize that the compressor housing inlet itself is a restriction as well. Bigger inlet, more noise. Also a big ass filter muffles it less as has been mentioned.

I think it goes without saying that my T67 with 4" inlet, 4" metal intake pipe, and 4" inlet 7"x9" filter are loud as hell.

But who cares, more power is more fun than more noise. Though I have to admit turbo cars do sound badass...

Its cool, I will try all those ^ :D I don't want too loud but I'd rather have the spooling sound a bit noticable instead of a loud ass BOV. My BOV is very quite (3000gt bov)! I like how the turbo whines and echos through the exhaust.

By "website," Kevin means "intake pipe." :lol2:
