Hello, I have a 1999 voyager. The Check engine lite has come on repeatedly. My mechanic's computer says everything that he reads is OK. But it only clears for a Minute or two. this has happened 3-4 times.
His computer is a snap-on, and i think he did say it was reading "undocumented". Has anyone had similar problem or any advice.
I found it best to stay away from local Dodge Dealers.
Is a check engine light something that needs to be attended to promptly?
thanks for any help.

These vans have build in checks that come into effect acording to mileage, may be due for the emmision check and reset or you may just have a faulty oxygen sensor. Check if the plug is not coming loose on the sensor. Hope this helps

The Scanner(SNAP ON),will display" Code History", the check engine light will not continue to come on unless a CODE is present, I have found that the o2 sensors sometimes go out of range, thus setting a check engine light.
Depending on where you live you might want to try another shop, tell them your mechanic hasn't been able to diagnose the check engine light always being on.
Sometimes a fresh mind will help, and yes sometimes mechanics do suffer brain-freezing we all are not perfect, we'd like to be but we are only human!
