I have a problem with my 1998 F-150. When I turn off the truck the air bag light and heater fan stays running and there is some clicking under the dash. Any suggestion or solutions.

I am having the same problem. For some reason the inside light is bleeding voltage back to the blower motor, making the blower motor generate voltage to the fuse you are talking about. I pulled fuse #15 a 5amp fuse. It solved one problem but I don't have inside lights when opening the door. It has to be a relay sticking somewhere. But fix will have to do until I have more time. I will post if I find cure. I am looking toward the module that delay the lights cutting off.

I think my problem is going to be in the vent control switch. The one with the defrost and ac controls on it. I have a friend @ a wrecking yard that will let me try parts before buying them. I will keep you posted.

I am probably going to see the ford garage tomorrow because I am still having problems with the passenfer air bag on/off light as well. I will let you know what I find out.

I am having a similar problem with my F-250 7.3L. This is a 4dr 4wd, loaded. This problem develops after a lot of rain, so I have to assume it's a short. The running lights come on, blower motor comes on, horn blows. These things don't always al;l happen but any combination of them might when wet. I don't have to drive it, sometimes it does this just sitting in my driveway. Eventually the truck drys out and all of this stops. Truck has 50K on it and looks and runs like brand new but it's driving me nuts. It will kill the batteries if I don't catch it in time. If I find a solution, I'll be glad to share it. I'm going to start by disconnecting the trailer (5th wheel) cable and all other aftermarket stuff.

Your windshield is leaking water in on your instrument cluster shorting it out. Get leak fixed and replace cluster.

I HAD A PROBLEM CLOSELY TO YOURS. MY PROBLEM HAPPEN TO TURN OUT THAT EVER TIME IT RAINED THAT THE WATER WOULD RUN INTO MY FUSE BOX AND SHORTENED OUT EVERYTHING. My 2002 F150 truck could be started when headlights switch was turned on. I think that the problem is the design of the truck. The water is running in between the door and at the bottom of the windshield. There is a large whole on both sides of the truck where it has been fabricated from the factory. You may want to do what I did. I opened up my door and pulled off the threshold after a heavy rain. Under the threshold, I found a couple inches of water. I looked on the passenger side and checked the threshold too. Both sides were the same. I have already had one electrical fuse fixed, costing over $500. That was only about a month ago. After a heavy rain again, the same identical problem is happening.
During a heavy rain storm, my truck went off with flashers and the starter kept trying to start the vehicle. I had to unhook my battery to keep it from tearing up my starter.

I purchased my 2000 F150 last June at the dealership & after about 2 weeks I noticed the same problem that has been discussed here. When it rains I get clicking under the dash below the steering wheel. The airbag light flickers on & off, the blower motor runs with the key off & out of the ignition switch. I have also noticed when driving in the rain, my wipers will only work at whatever selected speed I originally set them at when I was in park. They won't shut off or increase speed until I go into neutral while driving or when I'm in park again. I took my truck back to the dealer the 1st time and they said they replaced two relays where I was hearing the clicking under the dash. About a month later this started all over again, took it back to the dealer and after keeping the truck for the day they said they could not find the problem except that I had water getting in somewhere. They said until I found where the water was getting in they would not be able to help me.
