what is the highest {safe} rpm to rev at? i want to build a supercharged setup on a 95. 5.0ho and was thinking of chanign the revlimiter to 7,000 so the car gets the most out of the high end power. and then i can use track heat intake, and stageII cam is that guna be safe

your powerband is determined by cam specs, header primary length, intake runner length, and a few other little things. you can't just change your rev limiter without any knowlege and expect it to be right. get in touch with trick flow and ask them what the ideal shift point is with that cam and intake. then set your rev limit a few hundred rpm higher than that.

also, if you plan on spinning your motor to 7 grand you need to reinforce your bottom end. you'll put a rod through the pan or lose the tops of your pistons if you regularly spin that high on the stock bottom end.

You just need to find where you power peak is and that is all i would go. If it is a track car then I would get a differtent block If I spun it that high. I have tfs heads and shift at 6000 with a stock cam. it make decent power and a super would make it a rocket.

Stock block with a power adder won't last long under that abuse. Sportsman or better.

When you build the motor, be sure to polish the crank and rods and use a good set of lightweight forged pistons. SRP and DSS pro-lites are what I've been recommended. JE's are heavier pistons. I'd look into DSS's Long Rod 306 kit if I was you, a stock 302's rod ratio isn't too conducive to high RPM...
