Whats up with skip shift

Is it for fuel ecomony or something

yeah its to get better fuel economy

what the heck is skip shift?

It is something that the M6 has. It skips from 1st to 4th at certain rpms. I kinda like it but some people dont.

a skip shift eliminator is the way to go....skip shift is when you hit a certain rpm in 1st gear it wont let you shift into 2nd & 3rd you must go into 4th. I dont like it because it can be a big pain in the ass, you dont always want to be going into 4th from 1st and i get 20+mpg without it so the gas mileage isnt that big of a deal to me.....
