Okay, i just took the 350 off my '76 Elky, and put it in my '84 Camaro,(tight squeeze) hooked up most of the hoses, but the plug for the alternator has the red wire that bolts onto the back, but so does the positive wire from the battery. (they both have a wire that bolts onto the alternator) I CANT GET THE DAM THING TO START! :banghead: it worked fine in the el camino, now, in the camaro, if i toutch the battery terminals with the wires, theres no spark or anything! Where does everything go!?!? ill put up some pics if need be.

well, the 350 shouldnt have been a "tight squeeze" seeing as they were offered with that engine. I guess was the question is, did the camaro originally have a sixer?????

I was told the engine that came out of the camaro was a 350. The engine from the el camino isn't the original, its a newer one, in good condition. And its not an engine that was "offered" with the camaro.
