I have an 03 Cavy in the book it says to replace bulbs with in the front with 9007 does that mean I can't use any other kind because of the way they fit or because of wattage?

9007 is the style plug and has the highs, lows and DRL's all in one.... so you need that style #... but for wattage, try to stay as close to stock or you can potentially fry your wires up..

ya if u are wanted to use something with better power - u can always go with a gas/plasma bulb - just dont go over 100 watts - anything over that u are talking a complete upgrade - not really much besides that - next step over a 100 watts is pretty much a hella bulb or High Intensity Discharge system which cost from a few hundred to sometimes over 1000 dollars depending on the car....
APC makes a 65/100 or 80/100 - for like $25-$40- they are a gas bulb which burn brighter an have a different illumination to them - they usally a white color or flip flop tinge to them...

Yeah, thats great. You are going to feel real smart when the blinded oncoming driver hits you head on. We need some sort of legal limits on how bright headlights can be. We all have been blinded at one time or another. (I live in the country, it sucks to hit a tree)
I guess I could mount an
anti-aircraft searchlight on my hood....Then I could see everything, the rest of the motoring public be damned. :evillol:

Even when PROPERLY aimed they still blind you when cresting a hill. Some of these new cars with the blue lights are murder. I do not know how they are legal here in Fla. The law clearly states NO blue lights of any shade or variation. These things are even labeled "Blue" duh... As for enforcement mentioned above, you can enforce this law by prohibiting sale, use or position. Try to by a Code 3 light bar with blue lights, you cannot!

I can only hope it will be like halogens. When they first came out we all said the same things about being blinded. But once we had them on our cars our eyes adjusted to the brighter light level and then the oncoming lights were not so bad. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
