300C quality report?

What is the feeling of those who own the 300 with regards to quality? I have yet to hear anything negative about this car so it leads me to believe that the quality is perhaps as good as the styling. Kudos to Chrysler if that is true.

My wife has a Pacifica and we have been happy with the 250hp engine which is the same as that in the 300. I'm sure it is faster in a 300 as the Pacifica weighs 4600lbs.

Here is a review of the 300c if anyone is interested:

We're working very hard to have excellent quality. I have to give mangement kudos for how many extra steps they are taking to make a top quality car. I just bought one myself!

I hope that it has good quality. I am planning to test drive one within the month, and if I like it (which I'm extremly sure I will) I may just buy it. I heard that you should wait three years into a perticular models life before you get one so the manufacturer can work out the bugs. But I aint waiting until 2008 to get one. The other cars I am considering is a Ford 500/Mecury Montego or a Jaguar X-Type. But FWD is soooooo boring. AWD is the only other layout I'd get.

Shadow-Wulf , please tell any problems you have (if any), as it may make or break my purchase of one.

Hi. I own a 300c and i love the car. The only real concern i have is the stiff ride. The car came with the protection group 2, self-sealing tires. The ride is real harsh over bumps and i can feel the steering shake from almost any road bump. This is real annoying and distracts from enjoying the car.

Do you know if this is related to the self sealing tires?
The steering kickback is a big issue.

Thanks.

Hi. I own a 300c and am very concerned about the harsh ride over bumps. The car steering shakes heavily even over smallest bumps. I have the self sealing Contiseal tires, do you think this is the problem?
Thanks.

Do you live in a cold climate? Overinflated tires in a cold climate can lead to a rough ride.

Hi. I am very careful about tire pressure, keeeping it at 28 psi so that the harshness is not due to overinflation.
the steering is very sensitive to road bumps and my watch on my hand always shakes everytime i go over a bump. I really hope this is related to something simple to fix.

Thanks.

I finallt test drove a 300 Touring today. Boy, what a car! I always thought it would have bad viability, but I got used to it within about two minutes. I swear, the Ford Five Hundred has very little on this car.

Kumarkarn, I think it may be the suspention. But I have no Idea. The ride today was just fine, and it was 45 degrees F here! So it wasn't the tires.

Thanks for the reply. The 300c and the Touring have slightly different suspension tuning. Have you had any experience driving the 300c? Thanks.

Sorry, I have never driven the 300C w/ the Hemi, just the V6 Touring on that test drive. So there's not much I can tell you about the 300C. My friend has a 300, but I'm not sure if it's the "C" or just the "Touring", I'm on Spring Break (finally!), so I'll try to remember to ask him about it.

If I haven't posted about it within a week and a half, PM me about it (since I may not check back here by then). Thanks.

Only one persistent problem - have difficulty operating the rear window on the drivers side. Have had Chrysler work on this twice in the past 4 months. Just got the car back 4 days ago - window no longer operates. I suspect it sticks to the rubber insulation (but that's just a guess). Any suggestions for how to better deal with this?

Having problems with my 300C. It rumbles and shakes. Just had it in for service and they replaced a torque converter, picked it up tonight and it is still doing it. Any thoughts.

Yes, take it back and demand they fix it.
