B18 - B1 - 2nd generation

My engine blew so i put a 2nd generation motor in a 1st generation car. the guy who helped me pull the old one out ripped some wires behind the distibutor... idk what they are for but when i grounded 2 of them (neg) the car finally started but there are 2 more pos wired.once the 2 negs were grounded the car shot up to 4.5 thousand rpms and cut off...what is going on?

you should of ran the same intake mani and head if u could.so if u had a 91 b18a1 engine than run the same distributer instead of the obd1 dizzy.need more info too
