Creaking Sound in 1999 A4
I have a creaking sound that is similar to the sound of a matress spring underneath the center/front part of the chasis of my 1999 A4. I recently had the CV Boot replaced and the CV joint greased. 3 weeks after having this done the sound returned. Any ideas? Thanks.

hmmm, you got any more detail? Does it do it more when you go over a bump, turn a certain way, etc.?
Maybe a bad control arm.

It happens when I accelerate from a start. It sounds as if it is in the center of the chassis. It also occurs less frequently when I turn; also when I back up and gently accelerate. Thanks for your help.
